Bridges Built is the life's work of Jill Markle Bridges.  My passion for creating healthy, productive corporate work environments has led me to deeply explore the power of coaching.  I began with corporate executive development coaching work and now enjoy working with a variety of personal and professional clients.  My work focuses on transitions and promotion points of growth as well as  ongoing development and life expansion applications of coaching and consulting.   - Jill
 
 
Jill's Bio:
Jill is a practitioner of both Coachville and Results Coaching Systems coaching methodolgies. 
 
She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with honors in International Business at the University of Memphis.
 
After initially working at Morgan Keegan on the NASDAQ trading desk and then moving to Salomon Brothers in Tampa Florida as a financial analyst, Jill also moved to her professional career from finance to Human Resources.   While at Salomon Brothers and through the subsequent merger with Citibank, Jill learned how to lead organziational change as both a leader herself and HR professional.  Starting in compensation and training, Jill added experience in relocation, on-site childcare management, merger and acquisition change project planning, talent management and recruiting to become a Human Resources manager. This period was also rich with experience in workforce planning around merger and acquisition activity related to site closures and reorganizations. In early 2000, a move back to Memphis gave her exposure to HR external consulting but her desire to practice HR within a strong corporate environment led her to Union Planters Bank.

As Strategic HR Manager, Jill was responsible for strategic project management, the organization-wide severance program, affirmative action planning as well as a rewrite of the HR policy and procedure manual. Then as a Senior HR Business Partner rolled out the strategic initiatives to the banks in the multi-state region and large HR team that she managed. These initiatives included performance management systems, PeopleSoft implementation (including employee and manager self service), executive coaching and compensation career family redesign. Her next move was to the HR Legal team where she focused on employee relations, employee and vendor contracts and policy interpretation for HR. With the merger of Regions Financial, Jill was asked to lead the creation of a centralized employee relations team for the organization and manage the merger related severances, employee recognition, centralized personnel records, HR policy and procedures and affirmative action planning.
Most recently Jill has developed and led the Executive Coaching practice for Hilton Hotels Corporation. This program focused on senior leaders including GMs and AVPs. It targeted high performing, high potential talent for intense individual development through coaching engagements that Jill led.

She has facilitated numerous workforce planning, employee relations, initiated recognition programs and professional development programs throughout her prior organizational experience. In addition to her work with Hilton, she has been on the SHRM Memphis Board of Directors as Communication Chair and has been a guest speaker on diversity planning at SHRM affiliation meetings as well as presenter for The Conference Board on Executive Coaching trends. 

Her toolbox from 20 years in Fortune 500 companies also includes:
GPHR, Global Professional in Human Resources, Mediation and Employee Disputes Certification from the University of South Florida, Affirmative Action and Diversity training, Executive and Career Coaching, Lominger Leadership and VOICES 360 certification, EQ Map, Emergenetics profile certification, Enneagram, Hogan and MBTI experience
